Kay J. Rice, a trial lawyer with a focus on medical malpractice defense, has successfully defended doctors and other health care providers and institutions in over 50 jury trials. She is an approved attorney for COPIC, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, The Doctors Company, and multiple other malpractice carriers. Ms. Rice was born and raised on a ranch in western Nebraska. She graduated magna cum laude from Portland State University in 1976 and graduated from Stanford Law School in 1979. She is licensed in both Colorado and Wyoming and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. She is a frequent lecturer to physician groups regarding medical malpractice issues.
